Not long ago, the words Twitter, Facebook and YouTube were just buzz-words taking their turn in the spotlight. But as time has progressed, businesses have found ways to use these social media sites to reach customers. What appeared to be a fad, has become a valuable marketing and PR tool for companies.
While researching social media strategies for our Vistage membership, I’ve had the opportunity to discuss social media successes with CEOs of companies from several industries. The one commonality among CEOs using social media is a trial and error process that leads to a way and use for social media that works for their particular company.
The business owners I’ve spoken with are using social media to:
